God Will Supply All Your Needs

Author : Dwight Hall
My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:19Have you ever felt so down-and-out that the you had to "look up to see the bottom"? It's hard to have faith during such times, when you are plunged into the depths of despair. Yet it is during those times of deepest discouragement when it's most important for us to exercise our faith."But I don't feel like exercising my faith," I can hear you saying. "My faith quotient is very low at the moment, and I certainly don't feel like praying."It is in moments like these that we need to sit back and consider what we are saying. Do you want the devil to gain the victory, simply because you don't feel like resisting him? Satan is no dummy. Just when you are in the greatest need of God, the devil will put forth his utmost effort separate you from help.If Satan can keep you away from your source of strength, he knows you will walk in darkness and sin. And there is no sin greater than unbelief. It all comes back to that sage old known adage "you have to believe if you're going to achieve."When your heart ceases to believe, you are in serious danger of expressing your unbelief. Then by talking doubt and discouragement, you dampen the spirits of others and place yourself on the slippery slope. That is why we must watch the doors of our lips so carefully. When you believe in God, you take hold of His strength. You can walk and talk with Him, as if He were right by your side. It is your privilege to disarm doubt--and carry with you instead the credentials of faith--which are love, joy, and peace. When you do thsi, your life will be changed by the cross of Christ. Then you will be able to walk by faith--not feeling. You will receive help from God just when you need it, and His peace will come into your heart. The life of the Bible character Enoch, who walked with God, was marked by a simple faith and trust. If we learn to have the faith of a child like Enoch did, we may also have the same testimony of Enoch--that he pleased God. God's hand is not short, and His promises do not fail, for the only limit they have is our faith.By Dwight Hall, President of Remnant Publications. Adapted from the writings of
